As wifey and MIL are just 5ft on a good day I've been instructed to fit sidesteps. Not overly thrilled as I don't like the look but fair enough. So I bought these as they seemed same as Powerful UK ones for a bit less cash.

Hi Rolo. Thats the thing. The way they fit there is no possibilty to adjust them short of cutting them up and re-welding them (hence why I can't see how I could have got it wrong).

It does help a lot, thanks Steve. I wondered if they were the same. I'll have a look on EBay for some OEM steps. Failing that it's out with the welder. I know a lad who can powder coat for me for nothing so it could be a cost effective option. Lloyd Barnes

I'd really love the deployable steps but I just can't justify two grand. I'd also buy the OEM fixed ones if they were £500 but understand they are a grand which seems an extraordinary price for some basic metal and rubber parts. Can't cost more than £50 max to make?!

As DavidP has pointed out the seller is saying they are Originals - obviously not if they don't fit, so I'd say send him an email saying they are not OEM and ask for a refund I didn't think genuine LR fixed steps were that expensive. I think I paid about £650 for mine fitted at main dealer, so parts only price probably only 400 - 500 ???? Have you asked Dan "the parts man" for a supply price ? |

Why not get the chrome tube style ones or the black ones?? They are more hidden then and less obvious(in black) and dont require any faffing with the normal mudflaps FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
