New Member / Hello! / Remap (Now DONE!!!)

Hi

My first post, so a big hello to all. Really pleased I found this forum, and I'd like to say a big thanks for all the help it has given me in answering my numerous "newbie" questions!

I'm taking delivery of a 57 plate (08 MY) FFRR Vogue SE on Wednesday - I'm like a kid waiting for Xmas!

I am assuming that a car this age will have the Digital (Hybrid?) TV tuner fitted? Can somebody please confirm?

Having read through the many complimentary posts about the JE remap, I'm also seriously considering forking out the £395 to get this work done. I'm already 99% convinced, but if anybody could share their MPG improvements having gone down this route it will tip the scales that little bit further - and help me salve my conscience on the extra spend!

Cheers,

Andy

It should have the hybrid tuner

I would have gone the JE route except for them only being open 9-5 mon-fri and it was too much hassle to get there. It's £395 + VAT Crying or Very sad

I went with the BAS kit instead - Pete does a better price for forum members, but I can't remember how much, but he replies to email very quickly - http://bellautoservices.co.uk/bas-remap-interface/

DMS is more expensive. They come to your home/work to do it. Great aftersales service.
Noticeable perf improvement, usua; av mpg up from 28 to 30, and can get 33 plus if I take it easy.

Had my 07 TDV8 3.6 mapped by JE a few months ago and economy improves a little but it's so much nicer to drive. I very rarely use full throttle now, half throttle is just a wave of torque and throws you down the road Wink
