Ok - as some have said here and elsewhere, its not as bad as I was expecting.
There I things about it I don't like - the sloping roof (I wonder if the boot dimensions are smaller?), the front end (it does look like a RRS and isn't that the job of the RRS?), the front lights.
I don't mind the door 'vents' so much. It does look really looooooooong.
But need to see (and drive!) one in the flesh.
Also I suspect I'll like it more if I can get in a TDV8 one for no more than £75k
Pricing will be interestng. Can't wait for it to appear on the confugurator.
Interesting how they always seem to use the same types of colour to launch a new model RR, last time it was Ipanema and Nara bronze, neither of which I felt really made the best of the newer looks at the time.
I reckon the new shape in a really nice Orkney type grey or black, with better privacy glass (what's the point if you can see through it IMO?) and it will look spanking.
Now I know why the LR website was down the other day!

I'd say they've definitely compromised the simplicity of the Range Rover design which made it iconic, and it's rather too 'bejangled'. However on paper it sounds fantastic, and if it delivers on that potential in the flesh perhaps LRS will have to be forgiven for the overly bling design.
Bottom line it was always going to look substantially different from the L322, often new designs will take a few years to grow on us!
On thing I think is really naff is the wheel design they used in the pr shots, those were my least favourite wheels in their old form, and they haven't improved this time!

They use the most inoffensive colour to launch IMHO... Not everyone likes "drug dealer black" or "super rep silver" not my words! but words ive heard used to describe FF's...
I still don't like those grilles below the headlights, but I like the whole look of it regardless.
Styling may be a little less classic and a trifle more bling, but they often show the top-end model on launch, so I expect the lesser models to be a smidgen purer in looks.
The big question is for us 'budget-restricted' folk is how residuals of the later versions of the L322 will fare with the new model appearing.

A man ain't truly been insulted until he stands buck naked in front of a woman and she didn't even notice. Or care.
Im informed by an engineer friend in Gaydon that it will go around a corner without making you feel sick and also the diesel is the same splendid unit from the D4.
Have to say I think it looks great. Only thing I am not 100% sure on is the rear lights going off at a funny angle at the top.
But it looks very, very nice.
It's been nearly a year now since I sold my 2008 TDV8 and this new model with a hefty weight saving over the old model that was designed in the late 1990's is going to be a big leap forward being designed around 10 or 11 years later.
Just need to wait six months or a year to get one, due to previous Land Rover/Range Rover histoy of testing out new cars on the first to buy them rather than do full reliability testing.
I am impressed by this.
Performance and fuel economy should be very impressive for a large 4x4.
The front and rear lights are angled that way due to the American markets needing side marker lights , which does away with the old L322 red and amber strips ….
I realy like it. After following all the spy shots etc i was prepared to dislike it but i am now very keen to see one up close. If i could afford one i would buy one for sure!
