Tranfer box fault readings

I have a 2003 TD6 and have the following fault readings from a BBS Faultmate - 1COED, 1COF2, 1CO12, 1COEB, 1COE7, 1COE9, All these are labeled "previous faults". One fault 1CO23, noise on actuator signal, is current. The potentiometer in the CO motor reads correctly and the change from Hi to Lo operates Ok. I can't clear these faults, although the Faultmate reads faults cleared they are still there. I have approached BBS re this and they are looking into the problem but so far can offer no solution. Any comments/help would be appreciated. A more advanced diagnostic tool? Take it to the 'stealers'? The nearest would mean a 600KM round trip.

Do any of the legacy fault codes have a description or are just the codes displayed?

I guess the rotary potentiometer could be producing an intermittent voltage which doesn’t show up when you’re looking at a static reading? The fact that the range change works fine and there’s no P0720 (transmission output speed) error seems to indicate that all is working okay, though.

By the way, gyrogypsy over on rangerovers.net has had some prototype potentiometers made in China which are currently undergoing evaluation

so hopefully we’ll have a low cost solution to this NV225 transfer box shift motor issue soon.

Hi Phil
The readings are as follows. inst2 lost from can bus,inst3 lost from can bus.batt undervoltage, acs2 lost, acs1 lost, dme2 lost, dmel 1 lost, egs lost , gcs2 lost. All finish with lost from can bus. I have assumed that these arose when we removed the gearbox for repair. We also get the transmission failure alarm come up, but with no change in performance. This has been happening for almost 10,000KMS since the gearbox was refitted. I have assumed this is caused by the signals from the transfer box ECU.
