Pre heat

Trolling through the adds looking for my first FF, not many mention remote pre heat, given the recent weather, this is a prerequisite for me, is it standard on TDv8 or option?

Every TDV8 should have it from the factory, especially in any country where the temps can be quite low as the TDV8 needs the help to warm up Smile may not have come with the park heat function but its a doddle to enable isnt it Wink FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

'timed' preheat yes but if you have a remote receiver and a remote fob you can switch the fbh on whilst indoors.. ... - .- -.

My Vogue se has it with the remote. Wouldn't be without it.
I'm going to buy another remote so i can start it when i'm in the office. I left tonight and it was -1.
I have the older style at the monument and its a bit bulky in the pocket.

You have to differentiate: every diesel FFRR has a FBH. They are used as auxiliary heaters to augment the cabin heat on cold days because the diesel is so durned efficient that there is almost no waste heat Whistle
You can not pre-heat with this tho. Unless you enable the 'Park heat' function. Which yes, now is a doddle to activate... Rolling with laughter

But 'Park Heat' was an option - and not inexpensive given what LR actually 'added' to the vehicle... Rolling Eyes

Yes, that would be another disadvantage. Do you have timed heat in the menu?

confused

Ok, i know that all diesels have the FBH, but the remote was an option, how do i tell if this is installed and they have just lost the remote, or if it does not; and never did have the receiver fitted?
