2010 MY- where is the FBH located

Im struggeling to locate my FBH, apparently its supposed to be in the engine room some where Shocked In the climate menu i find where I can set the timer, but the manual options are "greyed" out.
I bought the vehicle second hand and I have a copy of the vehicle specs (based upon the VIN#) where the "auxiliary heater" is included. I also have a FOB for the park heater, but when i switch it on, its only blowing cool air- even below freezing temperatures.

Are there by any chance a software drop out that has resulted in that the manual options are not available Question

Any idea what and where to look for finding the FBH (if it is there) ? Range Rover TdV8 Autobiography MY2010

The fbh is fitted on under the wing on the right hand side as you look at the car from the front. Kind of behind the side vent area.

It is not visible unless you remove the wheel arch liner though you may he able to see the exhaust from under the car. Small pipe about 25-30mm in diameter.

It is probably not working, most arent at this time of year especially if they havent been used for a while! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thank you for your replies Smile I also went into the TOPIx (made a 1 week subscription) and found all my data with reference to my VIN # and it confirmed that I have a park heater Very Happy
And northernmonkeyjones is probably right that it just doesn't work - It will be serviced later this week at my dealer so I expect them to rectify it Smile
And as northernmonkeyjones says, its on the LH side (both for RHD and LHD) and you got to remove the wheel arch liner to find it.

Thanks again Exclamation

Really? Did they change that? Earlier L322s had the FBH on the passenger side - i.e. RH for a LHD vehicle. So for the 2010 > it was left on the LH side for both versions?

I have my car in because I encountered exactly the same problem, FBH is working (the fans are blowing) but no hot air is coming out. Dealer says it needs a new FBH so a new system has been ordered.

They seem to treat is a whole part, and dont break it down into components, so if its not working a MD will order and fit a new one.

For older out of warranty cars they can be serviced or repaired, new ecu's, injectors and water pumps are available separately. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I don't know how it is in the rest of Europe, but in Germany most Bosch service centers are also specialized in FBH. They are very serviceable - and quite simple. In Germany, there are numerous additional FBH specialists in every larger town as well. But then, Germany is the home of the FBH so it might be different in other countries...

Treating "it" as a unit is a typical big manufacturer thing. LR used to sell only replacement valve blocks for the P38 EAS for ~800. They were easily repairable with O-rings from any hydraulic supply shop...
