Good afternoon gents,

I have just replaced my driver side front air strut. Now I'm running normal, I've noticed and annoying knock / rattle from the front driver side. When I was undoing the drop link from the old strut , it was just spinning as I was trying to undo the nut, so I had to put a spanner on the back of it to undo the nut. Could I have messed it up at this point ? In the rave it said something about noting the position of the droplink before removal , but I didn't follow what it meant .

I suppose what I am getting at is can I just unbolt the old droplink and re fit a new one without having to set anything special up?

law of averages says its your drop link, very easy to change. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

Straight swap.. Though there is a washer to go back in the correct place. Previously..
Vogue SE TD6
Defender 90 2.4

And get the open ended spanner on the flats before you start tightening the nut! .
