Niggly sound problem since fitting MK4 dvd Nav

Ever since fitting my MK4 dvd sat nav in my 2003 RR i get some pauses in the volume, almost like a traffic anouncement is coming but its just a slight pause then back to the music, happens with radio, cd or Ipod. Anyone else get this? One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

I thought I would also reply here, so people know the reason for why this happens. We get this problem, all the time over on the BMW forums.

The modified firmware with the speed camera alerts, will dim the music, regardless of if you have it on Or off.

So you either use the camera alerts, or install the Oem firmware.

Another note on the speed camera firmware, if you live around London, it will keep crashing the system, when you go past a certain spot, every time.

But I want the audible camera alerts, will your solution allow these to work? If I could switch them on in the menu they would work but the camera alert section only alters language. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!
