Recommendation - Car Detailer in Manchester and Cheshire

So I have never written one of these before but after being mind blown the last few weeks i thought it was only the right thing to do. I had been a bit disappointed that since i have had my FFRR, when the sun is out, i could see swirls and blemishes really clearly, so i was discussing this with Will (Kingpleb) and he gave me the number of his mate who does it as a second job / hobby. He specialises in older cars so is used to a hard graft and he came over to discuss my requirements.

Since then, he has detailed our mini clubman and this weekend my FFRR, I have to say with both cars i have immensely impressed but more importantly the quality of his craftsmanship is incredible. While he does have a full time job he works through the night at weekends to acheive the results, he says himself the mini (a 2008) was good, but he has always wanted to work on a FFRR, he was genuinely excited when i handed the keys over the other day, and when he bought it back I was gob smacked !

I had searched for detailers all over and can confidently say that while it is not cheap, he is one of the most competivily priced and in my opinion he is worth every penny.

Anybody in the Cheshire or Manchester area, my advice is not to even think about it ! just get it done.

You will be as shocked as i was, here is a link to his blog site but give him a call and look at the pictures below, they really dont do it complete justice as it is only a point and shoot camera we have but gives you the idea.

The Mini Clubman is also on here

Vince's business is nothing to do with me in anyway (or Will), i am just an incredibly happy customer. Would lobe to hear feedback ?

The best bit is he reckons he can do the same to mine when the time comes BL and mines in a worse state than yours was with light marks all over and haze from the past owner just car washing it all the time Sad

You can't see anything on the paintwork now and those wheels come up really well!! Make sure you take his advice and keep them cleaned but protected with a good layer or two of wax when you can Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Deasy if you came up for a weekend around Manc it would be well worth it!! Bring yours and your offroad toy, drop it off and then come back for it after playing in the offroad toy at some sites and lanes not too far from here Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

That sounds like a plan! Any ideas roughly how much he would charge?? I have bramble rash on mine. I was looking at buying all the kit and learning how to do it myself.

I can practice on the disco as that doesn't really matter too much Smile Thumbs Up

To be honest the price will be different for each vehicle. Mines a bit more than BL's as he will have mine for a week and do it in the evening as it has bramble rash, haze, light marks... So Vince has said he would do it in the evenings one week for me when I'm ready, which will be just before the TDV8 upgrade Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Dont think it would be that much, prob 3 figure sum but only just.

Depends how thick the paint thats left on it is, how much needs correcting on it... loads of things i shall not even pretend to know but his work will speak for it self Smile

Just give him a tinkle after about 0800hrs or best drop him a text and he will get back to as quickly as he can, usually within a few hours, if not a little later on in the day Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Sorry for the delay in replying, to answer all your questions. Vince does this for some extra cash but also for absolute enjoyment. So each quote would be different because you are paying for how many hours he thinks it may take him.

The quotes i received before vince (and could not afford) were upwards of four hundred pounds. Vince was not in this category at all.

When i use him again I would have no hesitation in any price knowing that the outcome is incredible, plus after sales service, (vince even got in touch to make sure it was perfect and would correct anything i was not happy with once i had seen it in the sunlight). Guess What ! there were no corrections required, it is perfect !

Break open your piggy banks and get it done ! you wont regret it !

Thumbs Up

Also, just in case it is not clear in my original post, my FFRR is a 2004 / 54 plate with a conversion so that paint work was rough before Vince got it !

8 years of the elements ! Bow down

Hi guys....a tad bashfull on the praise bestowed on my work here...but very much appreciated Wink

I particularily appreciate the "craftsmanship" comment as i really admire professional restorers of anything, be it furniture or cars or whatever...i just get off on that kind of stuff Laughing

The initial reason i got into doing this was my cars were always restored to showroom standard, so once they were done i got bored with nothing to work on. I figured a good way to get "my fix" was to find other cars to work on....hence starting to work on other people's vehicles.

As BL and kingpleb implies, all prices are just based on how long its going to take me...and primarily to give people the access to a pro level detailed car without having to take out a mortgage to get it done Razz My main payment is the people's reactions when they get there cars back....its a good feeling when they see results.

One guy had had his car for over 30 years and said it looked better than the day he had it professionally resprayed some years ago...i was pretty chuffed with that Wink

If you want anything pricing up then bob me a text on the number on my blogsite.....if i can help you i will Wink
