Coming home from fishing today my CD player would not play the discs, it just kept saying "No Discs" even though the CD cartridge was full with 6 discs in it, anybody got an ideas?
On the other hand i was thinking about using intravee for my ipod etc. what would i need altogether and where would be the best place to get it all from.
thanks in advance Very Happy gone fishin'

You need an Intravee, an Alpine KCA420i, the two leads which come with the Alpine and a 12v to 5v adapter. All available on ebay if you want to save money or from Toys in your car website if you want new items.
You will also need a serial port to USB connector to download software updates to the Intravee - they are about a pound on the bay of E.
You'll probably come across the ten pin / six pin and three pin issue as your car, like mine, is a 2004. It's a simple enough job to re-pin connectors. If this is the case go to your local scrapyard, find a BMW from 2001 to 2004 ish and 'salvage' the connectors from the CD cables in the left hand side of the boot (possibly behind the boot trim).
Then when you have everything do a bit of searching on here for how to re-pin the connectors, get it all fitted and working and then enjoy the delights of the Intravee. It'll change your life! (am I going a bit overboard now??).

Chris

I had same symptoms a while back - check that the CD changer is not jammed. If it is jammed it will give that error message and be unable to load, but there is an easy fix that worked for me, see thread on RR.net:
