Cd changer gone 2005 54 l322 "no disk"

Hi, first post
There is loads of things I want to do with my car but starting with the basics,

Cd changer not loading disks, changer is in the glovebox (model number xqe500201 pu-2610a)
I have looked at loads of posts in different forums, but cannot find the answer

I have an l322 2005 54plate touch screen ( I don't know what type or name of head unit this is) I have no option for tv, but I do have option for phone and sat nav (also not working)

I would like to replace this cd changer either for a different cd changer, mp3 changer or ipod/iPhone music connection, is there a plug and play alternative that will work with the touchscreen and the buttons on the steering wheel?

All this whilst keeping the radio working as when I remove the cd changer the option for radio blanks out

Thanks

Darren

Have you disconnected the battery for 30 minutes? This can clear loads of problems including suspension faults 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

I havnt as i knew the changer was gone, i tried taking it apart to see if anything was stuck but nothing would move inside, i fancied an update anyway, cd changers seem really old tech.
I thought there may just be a plug and play out there

Welcome, you may be aware of Dension ipod kits? Well the only way you can buy such a thing is to purchase one through Land Rover as they have them made under licence... They are called an iPod Connectivity Kit and are around £400... They are sold for the 2007> facelift model onwards but fit from the earliest touchscreen models (as they have the same tech) I have one in my "55" plate and they are great Thumbs Up

Secondly, your DVD drive for the nav is in the boot, behind the lhs panel/door. Check for any wet in this area VERY IMPORTANT! If there is any signs (or past signs) like white staining on the ECU lids then you must get this resolved before you loose maybe all functions from your screen... Do a search on the WIKI for water ingress... Usually down to a rubber boot seal expanding in the top corners...

Interestingly Land Rover is not included on the Denison Website at all...

Is there a way of fitting it and keeping the CD changer unit as well?

Yes Gaz, they have a button in the glovebox (with a USB) you need to turn the car off switch the button and the CD if back as primary, then visa versa to go back to iPod...

The screen in the car displays all the track info too and your SW & satnav screen buttons work the iPod functions...

OK I did see that but assumed that was your fitted price. I have seen them advertised for £165.... Whistle

First time I have seen the very expensive mCar system while searching as well:
