The seller has been amazingly accommodating and patient with me and I get the impression he's a genuine guy. However it's a long way to travel to find out I'm wrong!

I'm now the proud owner of an Antigua Blue 2000 Jaguar XKR with Oatmeal leather. (Gary will be pleased)!

It was miles over the original budget and is far more expensive to insure and run than a 944 or 968 - but I'm still well chuffed!

71k on the clock with full Jag history. Wheels could do with a refurb to be perfect (won't be cheap on the 20" BBS Detroits - luckily I know a guy!) and the leather needs a little cleaning up and conditioning but mechanically it's top draw, rust free and I'll never get bored of that V8 grumble. It drives beautifully and goes like a bat out of hell.

Have a few little tweaks planned for her over the coming months...but thanks to all of you for your thoughts, comments and guidance.

I've never been sold on the looks inside or outside, but it does look an excellent example in a nice colour.

However, that engine and that noise will be constant aural pleasure and it'll shift far better than your FF.
