I saw it close up at Farnborough in...1990 or there abouts. Amazing aircraft, especially close up.

It took off at what seemed 9mph, but large things look like they're going slower.

Very glad it's back in the air!

Incidentally, I saw the Buran it was designed to carry at the Speyer museum in Germany a few years ago. It's also enormous. Couple of pics: -





Speyer is well worth a trip if you're heading down South Germany way.

Not cheap, but hell of a lot faster than a boat across the atlantic Cool
