IID..which one?

Am seriously thinking of getting one of these gadgets, but don't know which one is best, or how much they are to buy.
Also, do they display a fault code, if so how do you identify the problem, is there a list of codes?
I understand that you can set vehicle parameters, switch things on and off, clear faults etc, sounds like an invaluable bit of kit

Yes they do display a list of faults codes and a brief 1 line describing what it is, there were originally 2 models for the L322, essentially the same but for different MY's

There is a new one comming out soon with built in Bluetooth so you can use your phone to interface with it.
They are EXCELLENT and I can highly reccomend one to anyone who likes to tinker or self service.

Well worth the price.

IIRC mine was £300

I see on one of the links it talks about the aux heating. I've got a td6 without the aux heat option on my screen menu, can this tool actually put that option on, or just configure aux heat settings if already enabled.

Yes I believe it will enable the button but you'll still be missing the telestart hardware so wont be able to start it remotely.

No, but you will be able to start it with the timer in the menu on the nav. (Yes, the IIDTool can enable the Park Heat function on any diesel Range Rover (well, not the P38 or earlier...))

Britpart is redoing their website so it seems to be 'stuck' on the Lynx at the mom Rolling Eyes
