Mine doesn't judging from the limited use mine has had, so I'd say it's not normal.

blocky pictures normally mean low signals, especially on minority channels...tune it to bbc1 and see if this still happens..it could also be a bad connection on the antenna ...

Thanks both... I'm talking about the TV on with the car engine running and parking brake applied (so not referring to an intermittent signal whilst driving around) |

As others have said, getting a good, constant signal is the key to a stable picture. Find a big hill and drive to the top of it, that's close to a TV mast and all will be well! |
