England 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black

The TD6 in the FF is a straight 6 not a V.

I've just bought a 4.4 TDV8 L322 (rebadged as SDV8 in the L405) and it's absolutely magnificent.

Dunc. The life you have is the only one you'll get; make the most of it.

Sorry, should have been a bit clearer, I am looking at L405's which I believe have the same engines as the D4 (TDV6).

England 2016 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Causeway Grey
Hi

Hi all,

I’m picking up my first RR next week, I had a break from car ownership for nearly 8 years, partially because I was working overseas and because I actually prefer a motorbike.

A couple of years ago on a particularly icy morning I decided enough and bought a late 2015 Defender 90, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. The in car phone situation and much motorway work is not great so decided to bag a 2016 SDV8, which I’m picking up next week.

I’m sure I will still be on the bike more than the car, but at least when I am I hope to be doing it in comfort.

Looking forward to picking up some tips on here.

Cheers

Australia 2003 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Java Black

Hi
My name is Richard and I am from Adelaide SA, Australia and have owned Range Rovers for more years than I care to remember. My current Rangie is a L322 2003. My first was a two door and I have owned most other models in between.

I will be making a contribution to the L322 forum regarding some of the current air suspension issues I am having.

Cheers
Richard

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Zambezi Silver

Hi all - new here and pondering to take the plunge..

Have been driving a 4.4 BMW 7 series for 10 years now, but always wanted a RR - now convinced SWMBO that its a good idea as an extra car and may want to use it for towing as well in future.

Was convinced it had to be a low milage 4.2 SC, but now looking at L405 4.4 diesels as well.. Smile

Any tips welcome and will no doubt come round with lots of questions!

Thanks,
Derek

Try and get one with the towbar already fitted !

They are shockingly expensive from LR

Germany 2019 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Montalcino Red

Hello
So I am finishing the paperwork to buy my first RR after wanting it for years. I am looking forward to some long and happy drives in the car.
We already have a snowboarding trip booked in Italy next year nice long drive there. There are also a couple of trips towing a car trailer planned.
Heres to living the dream.

Hi Derek & welcome to the forum! I am fortunate to have had a 4.2 S/C and two 4.4 L405's. They are both great cars, but my advice if the budget allows would be to go for the 4.4 SDV8. Fuel economy is good for a heavy lump, but it's the torque that makes you grin when you plant your right foot! Amazing engine and 8 speed box Thumbs Up

Cheers,

Introduction

Just joined. I have owned Mach 1 Disco, P38 and two L322's in the past, mainly for use with 2 of my hobbies. Last couple of years have moved to a pickup as being a bit more practical for what I need but do miss the ride and pace of the Rangies. May be tempted back

Hello

Hi All,

Have just taken the plunge on a new P400e AB. Previously I had a RRS PHEV which has stolen in December from outside the house. After nearly a year of wrangling with the insurance (admittedly impacted by COVID), I finally persuaded them to give me the full money back on that one, and decided on the upgrade. By which I mean I took my year old son down to the dealership and got totally upsold when his eyes lit up at the FF.
Some good deals available at the moment (it seems) on built stock that is sitting at the factory so am justifying it to myself on that basis. Very much looking forward to getting it in a week or so. Hoping the p400e with the executive seats won’t mean the wife has a fit when she sees the boot... Anyone with any experience of that configuration- welcome your thoughts and advice.
Also buying every security device under the sun so it doesn’t get lifted again...

Look forward to chatting to you all.

Australia 2009 Range Rover Vogue 5.0 V8 Ipanema Sand
Hello I’m a new member

Hi There I’m a new member

I have had my 2009 5 litre V8 VOGUE for a couple of months, and I’m booking it in for a major service in a couple of weeks time.

I have a copy of the service hx of the car which has been regular service intervals at LR dealerships

What’s people’s general thoughts on a Mega Flush of the gear box - L322 FB advice is to do a mega flush for preventative maintenance, but I’ve read that can cause some future major issues.

I’d just like to know what the wider community out there thinks re what is generally a good idea to request for a major service.

I’m booked in at a non dealership mechanic but they specialise in European cars including Land Rover

Any info and advice will be greatly appreciated.
