Comes up on start up, turn on sidelights, get out and check, all working.

those errors normally come up when theres a faulty bulb or a non-canbus bulb fitted..i suspect that one or both bulbs have burnt out their canbus circuit....or the bulb just needs re-seating. ... - .- -.

Had a chance to have a look. It was both LEDs, whether they have both gone at once, or it took both to trigger the fault, but see from the picture where the problem was:

i've brought a fair amount of leds/smds and nearly all get dry joints within months of use, but a quick dabble with a soldering iron and they work ok again... ... - .- -.

The bulbs I used are very bright, almost brighter than the H7s in my foglight DRLs, don't give a canbus message, but blink every 20 seconds or so (this must be the canbus test) .

you can switch off the hot monitoring with an IIDTool, but you probably knew that already.. ... - .- -.

thats when the ecu checks to see if the bulb is ok..cold on start up and hot whilst engine running..
