I just had this done, near side rear was getting very hot. Cost less than two hundred quid and they included replacement disc and pad as well as the caliper, because I had only recently had discs and pads fitted. Geoff

Is it getting hotter than the others? It could be there is no copper grease on the pads and they are just squealing ? Previously..

Thats not bad at all Geoff, the calipers are cheap enough and easy to swap over but the discs can be a bit more tricky as you have to reset the epb.

Could have done with this service when i had mine done as the discs are getting a bit low now..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

@Mick:
It was from a local indy.

Full story was I took the car in because the rear nearside wheel was getting hot and I suspected the Caliper or EPB. They checked and said there was no fault but I also asked them to change the rear discs and pads whilst they had it in as they needed doing anyway (I paid for this maybe about £250 I think). Then when I took it back a few weeks later with the wheel still getting hot, and lots of brake dust, they had another look and said that the caliper was not retracting fully so they swapped it for a new one and as a gesture (I didn't ask them) they fitted a new disc and pad and charged me another £180 in total. So now everything is cool, including the rear wheel, and I have new discs and pads on the rear as well as a new caliper and some pocket change out of four hundred quid. Thumbs Up Geoff

Oddly enough an old mechanic guy told me to take it to a specific Indy who can wind back the EPB ….. Question Question

Mostly happens when i am bombing it then jumping on the brakes it starts squealing so i have to now and again give a very slight touch on the brake pedal for it to stop … Rolling Eyes ====================================

Adjusting the EPB isn't that difficult.

I've got a link somewhere.
