United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

Lowe track control arm that is Thumbs Up

Is the part I was thinking of, i would imagine that judging by the bend in that spanner when he is trying to remove it a splitter would work better, but that seems to be a solution Thumbs Up

The ball joint behind is the upper track control arm ball joint which can be changed separately from the arm, the one on the lower tca is integrated and has to be swapped as part of the arm as far as I can tell. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

It depends on how tight the ball joint is after 6 years stuck in the hub mine was nealy welded in place. The spanner method didn't work for me and I was close to giving up on the ball joint splitter. Normally I end up with the problem of trying to remove the nut from a ball joint that has started to spin.

It is a very easy job to do if everthing comes apart easlily. Start to finish it could take 20 minutes. If something doesn't want to play then it could take hours. 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

Ireland 2008 Range Rover HSE TDV8 Java Black

I have been having some issues with my car despite having bushes replaced . I had the the track rod arm on the drivers side replaced . I thought it might have been down to my Alignment being out and it is but obviously the below exaggerates and explains why I have been fighting to keep steering wheel centred in addition to loss of smoothness and stability. Dropped into a garage to get it checked the guys seemed instantly knowledgeable about Range Rovers which is rare in Ireland. They put car up on ramp and checked all bushes arms and noticed that there was play on the drivers side front. They traced it to the track rod arm that had been replaced . As referred to earlier in this post the monkey who replaced it obviously tightened nut on arm whilst car was on ramp leading to bush twisting and therefore prematurely failing on the chassis end .Really Censored off as I paid about 300 euro to a supposed expert. Needless to say I won't be going back. Just ordered up new genuine arm from Dan so will have replaced Friday and will then get alignment sorted Thumbs Up Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

I feel your pain, seems the motor industry (and building industry to add bitterness from my side) are very badly regulated. No one seems to audit work that leaves garages, seems any knob end can buy ramps and spanners and set up as a business. Im lucky to have found a good independent which are sometimes rarer than an honest car salesman!
