Rear track rod bolt seized advice please sorted.

Just when I thought I would have my car sorted it appears bolt on rear track rod at chassis end is seized. Now the toe is out on drivers rear side. I thought all adjustment was done mid track arm. Anyway they showed me that despite turning the nut it only turned the bush at chassis . I even got to use my iid tool to put car into TTM Cool Anyone know what part it is as in number I think I need to replace whole rear track rod and bolt. Is it an easy job to do ? Thanks.

Droplink (on ends of ARB) is a stabiliser link, not adjustable

The other one has an offset fixed washer on the bolt to adjust angle Paul Redding

That is indeed a rear toe link (Panhard rod) for a sport, on my way to work in a mo to open up for a RRS user who is urgent for some bits, will try to find the number when I get there unless anyone comes up with it first Thumbs Up Paul Redding

just had a look and mine has a toe rod like in the pic i posted, can't see anything which looks like your pic Question and it is the only thing which controls the toe at the rear there is nothing else connected to the hub bar the wishbones and the d/s.

in which case the parts boringoldgit and i suggest are the ones.RGD500180 There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

The last picture by northenmonkeyjones (not that one then) is the item that you use to adjust the rear toe in/out with. The 07-10 workshop manual makes no mention of another adjuster rod as in your picture ?

By the sound of it the bolt is just going round, didn't "they" hold the bolt when they tried to turn the nut?

If the whole bush is going round this may be the reason your toe is out?

Getting the inner off is fairly straight forward but a fiddle to get at. The problem you are likely to have is removing the nut of the tapered end at the hub, unless LR improved the design over earlier models.

When changing mine i couldn't get anything on it to turn it so ended up using a hacksaw and grinder across the nut to remove it. You can only damage the parts you are going to replace doing this.

Check out my rear suspension howto in the wiki .

conor this is the drop link, RGD000131

the toe can only be adjusted by moving the orientation of the hub and as such whatever adjusts it must be attached to the hub. there is nothing else attached, hence must be that part. Thumbs Up (not the arb drop link pictured in this post thats something different altogether) There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Big Cry I haven't a clue...... You are right northern

Thanks guys so you are right. I have no issue getting it cut out and replaced. Any idea of cost of part?

IMSC @ £25 each side, suggest you replace in pairs, then get tracking sorted .

gen about £50, aftermarket from 20 a side.

only inner end is adjustable using an eccentric fitting by the look of it, the outer end is a ball joint and fixed.

if you look closely at Microcat you can see that the fixing bolt has off centre washer attached to the head end which will move the toe rod in and out slightly

as such you may only need the bolt! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
