The 05/06 MYs were a bit of a hodge-podge as LR switched from BMW to Ford systems. The touch screen satnav was introduced in 2005 with an "adaptor" to allow it to work with what were basically still BMWs. The EAS ECU was completely changed for the 2006 MY - new HW, new SW. The vehicle bus systems were also changed completely (which is why you need a different IIDTool for early L322s fro 02-05 and another for 06-09 and even another for 10-12).

I am not completely up to speed on exactly which models hat what accys (I'm not seriously into RR trivia... Razz ) and always thought that the 2005s had the old EAS system (with a touch screen) while the 2006s had the new (no motorway height) but knowing LR, Stan, if you had an 06 with motorway height it was prob a very early one with left-over bits from the 05 model.

Facelift front = 2006 MY. Facelift interior 2007. Exceptions possible.

My previous 05 model TD6 touchscreen square headlamp car had the motorway/height adjust button. Reckon it got removed for the later 05 facelift model.

I think 05 was a weird year as early 05 cars did not have facelift but later 05 cars did.

Stan, not at all it just adds to the understanding.
Mine is registered Jan 2006, touchscreen, has the headlight facelift but not the interior and has two arrows where your manual pic shows the motorway symbol.

Looks like a trip to the autobahn to see if it lowers then.

Thanks for all the responses.
As has been said before, just goes to show what a good forum this is. Currently - 55 FFRR S/C and loving it
