Suspension queries

Not sure if I dreamt this but does the suspension lower itself when at speed?
Been doing some motorway miles recently and didn't notice the RR hunkering down or the suspension lights on the dash changing.

Also every now and then when I get out (keys out, door closed) I notice the suspension lowering itself, the rear anyway.
Is this normal? Currently - 55 FFRR S/C and loving it

Once you hit 70 it drops into motorway mode!
My one sometimes drops when I'm locking it too.

Yes it drops itself ever so slightly, so little that you wouldnt notice Thumbs Up

It may level itself slightly when parked. So long as it moves smoothly between settings it should be fine.

Dont do it too much in one go though as the air reserve tank will deplete quickly at which point the compressor will be trying to raise the car on its own and it will take ages and it will overheat. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Kruger - the manual should point this out but as long as you have not "locked" the suspension mode (by pressing the button on the circular suspension select knob) then it will drop and raise.

I believe it is 55 or 60 mph for longer than 30 seconds and it drops to motorway mode. opposite to that is if you then drive slower than 30 for 30 seconds or so it will raise again to standard ride height.

You may find it levels itself when you park up if you are on a hill or the front/rear/left or right is higher than the other (for example left wheels on a curb. The car will always want to "level itself" and you may hear some clicks or pfffss noises when you get out for a few seconds.

You can also drop the car to access mode to make getting in/out easier if you want to. Press the upper most long button on your door (above the window and mirror switches) and the car will drop right down. It is advised to do this before you stop (under 30mph only) as apparently it like to be moving if only slightly to do so. (recommended at least). If you drop it down it will also raise again to standard when you drive away.

Have a read of your manual though as it's all in there.. Ash

. . . . I'm sure I've read it on here before that the "motorway mode" differs for different MY's ?

Mine's a '06 MY, as was my last, and neither do it . . . . either that, or I'm not going fast enough Laughing

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

Wrong pic Stan, it's the square box in the middle (covered in your pic by your gear stick) that looses the motorway light on the left hand side... All the rest of the panel is the same from 02-07 but the motorway light left when the touchscreen was introduced... Whistle
