United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Buckingham Blue
IID Tool purchase

I've just bought a 2005 FFRR Supercharged and would like a good diagnostic tool. I've done some reading on these and presume I need the 2005-09 version as mine has the facelift headlights but no terrain response is this right? Also will this reset code stored in the park heater as mine isn't working and looking at a previous bill it's been reset before and thus got it working again

Many thanks

Its very rare to have an SC with a FBH as the car is obviously a petrol car not the derv model they are usually fitted too... Rare but not un-heard of...

I know of two bought by business partners - they always specced them with FBH. Never used, but always specced..... Land Rover Addict

Thanks I will check my vin. I know FBH is rare on the supercharged it was one if the reasons I picked this car.

Hopefully this tool will reset fault codes in them.

99% of petrol models dont have it, but if you have a build sheet or can get hold of one for yours then it will say on that.
also, if you do have it you should have the fbh timer on your menu.. ... - .- -.

Well I ordered a bluetooth iid tool mine was the 2006 on version. Plugged it in tonight cleared fbh 2 fault codes. And it fired up straight away giving instant heat. This little gadget has already paided for it self I reckon as I nearly bought a second hand fbh for £300. It's the best thing (apart from a range rover) I have bought. Would encourage anyone looking for a code reading to get one these. The difference between theory and reality is that in theory it will work.

Thank you for the kind words, Dave.

We have some big announcements to make very soon. In the near future your IIDTool BT will become much more versatile and have some very cool new features... Do you have an iPad 3+ or mini?

Hi Steve, yes I have a iPad. Looking forward to the news about some new features. I still can't believe how small the unit is given what it can do.

That was one of the ideas we had for an advert: pics of a typical 4ft tall main dealers diagnostic trolley with an IIDTool next to it and the caption "can this (IIDTool) really equal this? (Trolley)

We'll see if it happens...
