Neither, the kind where a group go somewhere for the weekend.

BBQs & booze being one of the reasons.

Some rallies held when other events are on like steam shows, air shows and the like.

No the sort where the organisers find a field then pack you in like sardines for a gathering of fellow nutters.
Personally I prefer the opposite a CL where you have a massive empty farmers field with electric and a maximum of 5 vans at any one time.

A bit of generalisation there, I have been on CLs where the 5 vans are crowded or maybe more than 5 vans, and on rallies where there is plenty of room.
