can you update your FF profile so we know what one you have...

i gather yours is a 2002-2005 model..

any discolouration can be a sign of the bulb on its way out and tbh for about £15 upwards per pair you can get some 6000k xenon bulbs of ebay which will give you a nicer whither light than the OE colour and then you can keep the good bulb thats left as a spare..

Cool!

Found some bulbs in Oslo at a good price. Is it straight forward to change them or is there anything special I need to look at?

the dealer should have turned the steering wheel fully to the left and then fully to the right after the jump start, if he didnt then the errors will show..
i suggest disconnecting the battery and do this procedure , how to is in the wiki..
there is also the possibility that the battery is knackered..

Had a look at the wiki. Is it enough to disconnect the earth and leaving for 20 min to have the system reset?

easy to fit, but make sure you get the bulbs with the anti vibration metal strips like in this pic,

re the battery, best to disconnect the positive..

Update: Put the battery on a charger last nite. The charger I used has a scale from 1 to 8. I had 3 bars when I started charging it.

Also fittet new xenon bulbs, and it shines like a beauty again.

But I have discovered another weird thing. There is a small shudder when the car is shifting gears around 50-55 km/h. Have to pay attention to notice it, but still there. If I change gears "manually" its not there.

Another question. How do I get the list over equipment fittet to the car when new?

So. I have now gotten the error codes read. Lots of voltage related errorcodes. All cleared, and the car is silky smooth again. Very happy. I have also contactet an LR-importer and gotten the list of equipment fitted.

New problem is: It never seems to get very warm in the car. I have checked fluid levels, and there is plenty of coolant on it. It had a full service before I bought it, were they filled it with new coolant as well. In BMWs lack of furnice-type heat is a sign of to little coolant. Or something else in the area of the coolant system. Very interested in feedback on this!

Can anyone point me towards a guide to dismantling the DSP?

Where is the fuse on the radio unit?
