i know have all the various bits to put it all together.... quick q though.... do people put the receiver in and leave it there ie with the holding pin in or do people take it out until they are using it.... strikes me that its a bit of a faf to keep doing that?

If you use it a lot then leave it in, if you only use it occasionally then remove it as it has a habit of removing shin skin

Mine stays in place most of the time . Fitted with a locking pin so no low life can steal it. I've even fitted it with a step so I can reach all the way in

i leave mine in as i've lost the bung, on my previous one i had no bung and when i went to fit the receiver, it wouldn't go in. The inside of the box iron had stared to rust, only surface rust, but enough to cause it not to fit in properly, had to sand and then lube it, then it all worked. Hope it helps.

Mines bolted on. What's all this about a quick release pin?
