My dad has done it to his TD6 Disco2 and is very pleased with the results. A bit smoother, and 1-2mpg extra. Not loads but worth it. He thought his throttle response was a bit better too.

Are they easy to fit?
Any long term issues that they can cause in comparison to original part? FFRR TD6 HSE

For best results I would recomend that anyone doing this removes the inlet manifold and gives it a real good clean out. I was amazed at the amount of crud in my last FFRR after only 78,000 miles.

Adding the EGR without cleaning out is a little like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted. The crud will restrict free flow of the intake and at the end of the day what you want is an engine that can breath out of its mouth instead of its exhaust Thumbs Up 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS

yes it is a well know fact that these things work, everyone was doing it on the Disco Owners Club, but as stated if you are going to do it i would do a proper job and make sure all the crud that it has fired back into the inlet manifold is cleaned out first. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

I'll be fitting one next time I'm down at my dads. Will make sure they clean out the inlet manifold as well and will report back on any changes in performance & economy. FFRR TD6 HSE

Be worth cleaning out the inter-cooler while you're at it as well.

England 2004 Range Rover HSE Td6 Java Black

Hi everyone, I would say egr are good am going to blank my rangie soon, I have done the egr blanking on my defender td5 I know it's a different vehicle but I had better throttle response and before I done it on defender I was getting 240 miles on full tank whereas now since I done egr I get 290 miles on full tank, best £40 I've spent on my defender which is my daily work horse. Incidentally when my rangie was on diagnostic the other week it showed a egr fault on the computer the same as what happened to defender which prompted me to do egr in first place.
Also my brother had his disco 3 done an he says much better Thumbs Up Range rover hse
