FBH

Sorry if this has already been done but i can't find anything.

I have changed my battery in the remote and it doesn't work off the remote. The lights all work on the remote. I can program the car to work.
Does the remote need to be reprogrammed to the car, If so how do i do that PLEASE

Yes it does, easiest way is to pull power to receiver behind panel in boot, worked for me whereas pulling the fuse did not. -----------------------------------------------------------

with a MY11, you wont be getting into a "warm" cabin. With only a 17 minute cycle time (come on LR - how much extra would the full 30 minutes take from a proper battery to adequately warm the cabin....), it will be cool at best on really cold mornings.

Battery issues on the Range Rover are legendary why JLR can't address this problem once and for all god only knows, surely not that difficult or expensive to have a secondary battery fitted to power ancillary things like FBH to give some decent cabin heat times leaving the main battery for start ups Shocked The forums premier drug dealer and human trafficking consultant

I'm right pi55ed off as you can imagine.
I've only had the car for 2 weeks and these things should have been checked before i picked it up.
LOOKERS will be getting a strong email from me tomorrow.

^ The FBH update was a reduced cycle time and the battery was a gel replacement...true it all helped but it's more of a patch than a real fix as Ramble says in really cold weather the cabin is still a cold place to be in until the engine heat kicks in Sad The forums premier drug dealer and human trafficking consultant

If its not working then chances are its bust......

Get a warranty claim under way and it should most likely get completely replaced, also point out the lack of update and that should be done too.

Had mine done under the lr warranty foc for a whole new unit! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

what I do sometimes to make up for the poor battery is......

hook the FFRR up to a charger through the towing socket.....and give the FBH 2 cycles (ie 35 minutes worth) before I want to use it.

quick unplug of the charger from the towing socket, get into a "warm" cabin, and off I go with a fairly fully charged battery........
