United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

Great thread all, had this light come up on Saturday night on my 2011 TDV8, found this on my smartphone whilst still out which put my mind at rest, and having checked under the bonnet I can see the broken wire. Many many thanks.

Likewise, a great thread which has saved me a round trip to the Stealer!
Temporary repair to broken wire, new wires to come from Dan for proper fix, then job done. 2011 Vogue TDV8 4.4

Simple fix

I had the same error. I took of the top cap on the shocks and here is what I found, one wire broke and the other about to break. It took 15 minutes to fix and the light is off and Rover is riding smooth again.

Aye, did mine this afternoon, all the other recent fault messages have disappeared as well! I used the genuine repair piece , wee hint , the sheath supplied is not for a straight through bullet connector as one of the sheath ends was sealed shut , just crimp the cables directly in one side & bobs yer uncle !

"one of the sheath ends was sealed shut"
Really? Mine came with two in-line crimps. You put the old wire in one side, the new wire in the other, then crimp up. 2011 Vogue TDV8 4.4

Just had done at main dealer this morning

Had mine done while I waited at main dealer this morning (Harwoods Basingstoke). £128 all in including both sides parts and fitting and VAT and turned round in an hour. Fault light gone and all good - cheapest dealer visit I have ever had!

Having had mine go some time ago and fixed by Land Rover assist I thought all would be fine but no.

In Southern Ireland towing the caravan on came the warning, very uncomfortable with two tonnes on the hook so spoke to my foreign holiday insurance, caravan club red pennant.

They contacted the dealer in Cork who could not look at it for over two weeks but managed to get a local indie to come out and check, his computer reported left rear and left front solenoids but he did not want the work because of the time it took to get spares.

As we were going to Dublin the dealer there could look at it so recovered up to Dublin.

Car was in for three days and they said they had replaced two looms at the front, no charge as car has extended warranty.

Ten miles out of Dublin heading for the Larne ferry message came up again as we were already a day late continued to Larne, not too bad as the roads were good.

When we got off the ferry no fail so drove home, following day car says no fuel even though there was, filled up still no fuel so it's booked into local dealer today even though they can't look at it till a week tomorrow.

CTC

Yes especially as the indie said front and rear near side.

Ran fine yesterday with the van on the back.
