Is the spare wheel well dry? Excess moisture can live in here. But to your question, I rarely put it on due to the A/C sorting out the damp air.

I have the water shedder but I can't find any instructions anywhere how to actually fit it. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Not my car, someone on here I believe.

I slid mine behind the units without taking the frame out.

Thanks. The supplying dealer is found to try and sort the leak when they take the car back. I will try and got thereafter shedder at the weekend if dry. Only dampness evident is around the spare wheel, nothing obvious in the sides. Is the seal most likely? There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Mine has never leaked, did the shedder as a precaution.

Others do seem to say change the rear tailgate seal first, though I understand it can come in where the rear bumper bolts on.

Whilst a water shedder may well stop water leaking into a car cascading over the valuable electrical gubbins located in the rear compartment it does not stop the water coming into the car in the first place and in the right conditions going on to form condensation over all the components including those under the shedder.
Dubious piece of plastic sheet in my opinion. Wink
The condensation in the car is almost certainly caused by a faulty upper tailgate door seal. They appear to usually fail at the top left corner of the opening. Any water leaking into the car will then track thro various body cavities and collect in the left rear compartment and/or the spare wheel well.
I would advise checking the tailgate door seal and if the top left corner is loose/distorted invest in a new one from Dan@Duckworths.
Well worth the money to have a dry car. Thumbs Up
