We had these issues a few months ago look at our posts.

We have had no water ingress issues since renewing the tailgate seal. We fitter the water shedder to be safe.

We had intermittent crackling and thunder from the radio.. then 2 months later it was permanent. I added to a previous post a name of a company that can repair the electrical units in the boot. Ours had no evidence of water ingress damaging them.

So did your electrical units stop working altogether hence the need for repair? Or were they still partially functioning, just damaged and needing repair?

I've been lucky as my seal has failed on the bottom corner missing all the gubbins!
All the trim is out waiting to be cleaned and dried in prep for the new tailgate seal.

Mines ok now after the new seal made up as the boot actually sounds different when it's shut. A more satisfying thunk.

I'm off to bed I can't believe I've just written this.
