Where is the Air Suspsension ECU located early02 Range Rover

"Air suspension inactive" message, key has to be rotated on average 4 times before she turns far enough to start the engine, and the light that locks the suspension height is lite all the time oh and I did see some CAN bus errors but they deleted after reset.

Add to that, that two different diagnostic systems cannot log onto the air suspension ECU but can read various other engine and vehicle parameters I am somewhat lost. The pins on the female connector in the dash are all clean.

Although, by reading the forum, I would like to check the connectors to the air Suspension ECU , but don't know where to look for it.

So please "Where is the Air Suspsension ECU located .... and other ideas"

In a LHD car it is behind the glovebox. I assume the same goes for a RHD car - but I am not completely sure off the top of my head.

Check the wiki up to for a RAVE download. ECU and component positions in the vehicle are all shown. Using the RAVE will be far superior to flying blind when doing repairs as well.

A list of ECUs you can reach would help. Water ingress can kill comms on an entire bus.

All sounds very similar to the issues I've been experiencing, and from looking into posts from others water ingress seems to be the most likely cause. Have you got any water in the spare wheel well? Have a search for water ingress/leaks/boot seal issues and sunroof drains.

If and when I solve my issue I'll be sure to let you know!

Matt
