I've got a few 5l bottles of this left which I bought when they were on offer from TPS when I used to run an S6.

I know the RR takes 5w30 oil and this is the right viscosity so would there any problems in using this with the RR as this oil can be used with VAG turbo diesel engines without a problem.

What oil is it though branded as vag it most likely shell helix ultra extra or similar. Its not the viscosity which the important factor but the oil specification.

The tdv8 is filled with a 5w30 oil to a ford LR spec wss-m2c913-b which doesnt cross ref with the spec, which is basically acea A1 whereas the audi oil is acea c3.

Would be ok in a td6 though i think as it meets bmw LL4. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Just checked and Quantum Synta has the right specification. I think it's cheaper than LLIII anyway.

What's puzzling is that both fully synthetic and semi synthetic can meet the Ford spec.

Whole minefield of oils specs out there, our Skoda has the 2.0tfsi engine which will only take a specific spec of oil if on long life service intervals, and a different one on annual services. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I'm going 6 monthly oil changes even though I only do around 5,ooo miles a year. With oil this cheap and a mate who is a Ferrari technician that doesn't like to charge me labour it would be rude not to.
