Changing rear pads and discs on a S/C

Hi guys I have read a few threads about rear pads and discs being more complicated than the fronts with Brembos. Is this only true for those equipped with Electronic Parking Brake?

As a 2006, mine has a standard hand brake, does this mean the rears are a straight forward job to change?

Many thanks in advance.... 4.2 Supercharged Vogue SE

DO NOT PULL THE DISC OFF UNTIL YOU DE ADJUST THE HAND BRAKE...... Very very very important (you'll pull the pins through the backplate and thats a very expensive mistake) Thumbs Up

Removal assistance should be in the wiki sir Thumbs Up

Many thanks - this was the bit that made me nervous Thumbs Up

I have looked through the wiki and can find handbrake adjustment, but the only reference to rear brakes that I could see was the TDV8 rear calliper, and there was no mention of the de adjustment of the handbrake….

Any idiots guides anywhere?? 4.2 Supercharged Vogue SE

Thanks Stan Thumbs Up

So I can see about lining up the inspection hole and bung at 6 o clock. To actually release the shoes is then obvious?

I just do not want to get half way through and stuck on the drive! 4.2 Supercharged Vogue SE

I was able to cheat and used a friends workshop - I relayed the information and by the time I came back with a cup of tea, it was done... 4.2 Supercharged Vogue SE
