L322 Headlight control unit- where to buy?

Hi,

got a dipped main beam that was only lighting if you clicked it on and off a couple of times - and now won't fire at all.

I believe I'll need a control unit \ ballast. Can you guys point me in direction of suppliers please (UK)?

My advise would be to buy a second hand headlamp (£50 of flabby) as it could be A, bulb B, ECU (on rear of headlamp) or C, the ballast...

You could then strip your lamp down (which is quite straight forward) and test the parts as you fit them sir Thumbs Up

Can't see any full units at that kind of price. Confused

In terms of spare bits on fleabay, only seem to be the control units off the back of the headlight. I take it the ballast is separate?

Want to see what prices new parts are - am leery of buying used electrical bits from ebay - most are no returns and could be just as goosed as the ones I've got Wink

You cannot buy the Ballast from JLR... The ECU is around £250 from memory and the bulb £160...

Thanks. So pretty damned pricey then. Shocked

I'll swap items from working side one at a time to identify the fault.

If it is the ballast, and you can't get it from JLR, is there anywhere else?
