Can I ask what symptoms you had on the car that made you change the torque convertor?

Do they do upgraded ones ?

Though I suppose if the standard unit has lasted that long...........

Just wondered if, for a little bit extra, it could be beefed up.

Are you having any gearbox work done at the same time ? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Vibrates at 55 ish to 65 when it reaches the lockout in top cruising, you can feel the vibrate through seat and rangey, let it get too bad and it takes the whole box which is about 1400 even though on eBay you can get a full recon box fitted for £1150 I don't know them _____________________________________________________

England 2011 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black

Getting my TC changed next Friday, had the classic symptoms as explained in various threads by RRPHIL. Local indie checked the oil in the box first and no metal particles so hopefully the box is ok - the oil however had been cooked when the box went into overheat due to a blocked rad a while back.

Going to have the box flushed at the same time.

Fingers crossed this fixes it. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

So gearbox power flushed and filled with lovely nice new gearbox oil, they added an additive to help keep the seals nice and flexible and a nice new torque converter installed. So far it seems to have cured all of the symptoms I had before. The box feels like it is changing gear earlier and is smoother. Had a look at mpg and it too seems to be slightly better. So far so good Smile "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."
