2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey
Cooled/ventilated seats

Morning all,

I've got a new TDV8 (2007 Vogue SE) and love it, so much better than the TD6.

A couple of niggles though, the ventilated seats dint seem to blow any air on the back bit of the seat? The fan is working, I can hear it, but no effect felt? Also on the other seat, the air is a bit lack luster on the bottom part too.

Any ideas?

Cheers, CB

you dont get a significant amount of air coming from the seats but enough to cool you down...have you got the 'back' and 'seat' lights lit on the control knob.. ... - .- -.

@CB, ours has cooled/heated seats and for sure the seat/bottom parts of the seat benefit from the strongest cooling and heating aspect and because the seat bottoms perform so strongly, it can indeed seem like the back parts don't work quite as strongly. I'm sure I've read on the forum before that this is just how they perform and it has never bothered me because both parts do work.

As for one weaker output than the other, I'm sure someone else will be along to explain that... And also to tell me that our seat backs must be faulty Wink

Thumbs Up

Great, it's not just mine then! Yes the driver's side is so much more powerful than the passenger's side.

Can't help you with the performance of one seat being greater than the other... Unlikely to be this but presume you've hoovered, lightly brushed and cleaned the perforated parts of the seat to ensure no build up blockages?

There are serviceable filters on all four blower motors... Worth changing them first!

White disc filters (you can see them under your seats) Thumbs Up

@cb, if not your filters as mentioned by CTC, this linked thread will take your OP to a whole new element... Ahem Very Happy

http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic22581.html?

It's worth a read for reasons that include this summarised aspect of the post about removing the seat back:

"... To remove the seat back first unhook the leather flap that's tucked under the bottom of the seat (on elastic hooks). If I remember correctly the seat back itself is held on by two Torx screws, one in each bottom corner screwed vertically upwards underneath. The seat back should then pull upwards if you prise the bottom out first (the top is held in by plastic vertical slots so don't pull it any other way!). I don't think you need to remove the arm rest, it slots around it but check before man handling it! "

Thumbs Up
