could be just a build up of brake dust...normally a hard sharp stab on the brakes clears the squeal. ... - .- -.

Could be pads sticking in carrier.... I'd get them stripped to find out the issue...

Right it's still doing it but for now, only say once on a short 3 mile round trip 10 minute journey.

Mine did this a few months ago and I thought it was the wrong pads but no took it in and everything was ok but still made the squeal with mine it may have been a slight lip on the disc but it wasn't obvious and now it has resolved itself I think it was a bit of rust on the edge of the nearside front , sorry if this doesn't make sense but hope it helps - I would persevere and see if it goes away |

Brand new disc and pads on this one Sandy... reassuring though... I don't think its anything serious... the fitter of the discs and pads didn't use the grease supplied with the kit (used grease that his garage normally uses) and I'm now wondering if it's something to do with the type or not enough grease having been used at the point of fitting.

I was going to suggest a lack of grease Ryan. Whenever I replace mine, I use either copper slip, or the new ceramic stuff that ECP sell. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

So it did it a few times today and the squeak seemed to come on when driving slowly around town accel from speeds 20 up to 30 mph and it did seem to come on when the steering wheel was turning more to the left whilst driving along... A light touch of the brakes seemed to stop it today. Again, wheels not overheating and no obvious hotspots. Noise now starting to remind of a squeaky wheelbarrow, if that makes sense? |

Sounds exactly like mine was . If I did lots of town driving = squeal do a run on the motorway and it was gone I think the discs had a slight lip and maybe the pads were just catching the lip but like you a slight dab on the brakes and it vanished. You said that you had knew Brembo discs and pads? so bit confused unless the pads weren't oem?? |
