Just come back from a 400 mile round trip to Cornwall, and the FF has developed creaky and squeaky rear suspension. It creaks and squeaks when driving on Bournemouth's normal roads, it doesn't get any worse on large bumps or lumps, the usually smooth and silent ride is now just a series of squeaks and creaks. The suspension rises to the correct height and lowers again without any sound as normal.
When I push down on the corners when the car is parked it does creak and squeak.

Is there anything obvious (easy) that I should/could check and lubricate before booking it in for a proper inspection.

Chances are it's the hub rosejoints, when the rubber perishes they dry out and make an awful noise, you could try some WD40 on them for temporary relief but I expect they will have play in them.

The top two seem to go first, around £40 from Dan (don't bother with britpart) and I'd use new bolts and washers as the old ones will be pretty cruddy, if you do it yourself you will need a scaffold pole to get the old ones undone...

Thats what it was on mine, suppose it could be any of the wishbone bushes if their poor.... again try WD40 on them one at a time till it goes quiet... Pete
