IID Tool - Amplifiler ECU errors

Hi all,

Having purged my vehicle of faults (all caused by a low battery at some stage by the looks of it), I still have two coming from my AMP ECU .... basically giving an error with Speaker 1 and Speaker 2.

Anyone else have this?

Also, lowered the suspension 15mm, handles much better now, almost as well as the SC! Land Rover Addict

Hi Stan,

I haven't checked, but it is my understanding that all modes are now 15mm lower. It's at access right now and looks fine Smile Land Rover Addict

sounds good,

i've always thought that the range seemed to high in standard mode so your 15mm lowering is a compromise to having to lower to normal access when stopping.. ... - .- -.

I believe our chief engineer, Christian, had this on his 2007. If I remember correctly it was chafed speaker wires under the RH front seat (directly in front of the BCM). Someone else had this too - was it Geoff (supershuttle)?

I'll see if I can get Christian or Patrick to post or find out more.

Thanks Steve Smile

I'll check all the speakers over at the weekend, but I've not heard anything *not* working, or any scratchy sounds..... Land Rover Addict

I never got round to fixing anything but the two upper speakers in the rear doors are silent. I did take the passenger seat out but ran out of time and so had to put it all back without reaching a conclusion or fixing anything. Geoff

Ah,,,well those will be the ones I'll check first then - oddly, I don't recall them ever running in my old 2006......had issues with the lower ones, and had them replaced.

Intrigued.... Land Rover Addict

Must be one of the ones you can't find because they are not making any sound Whistle

Sorry, unhelpful, but couldn't resist Very Happy Geoff

<chuckle>

Just to confirm :

2 in the very back, 2 per back door, 3 per front door, 1 in the dash ....

That makes 13 + the sub .... is that right? Land Rover Addict

I think 13 is right.

If the sound quality is OK I guess you can just ignore it although there may be a problem in the amp? - I haven't fixed my back door speakers yet, I didn't even know they weren't working until I got the IIDTool, probably 'cos I sit in the front I guess.

Obviously it could be intermittent, especially if its frayed wiring which SteveFR thinks mine might be, so clear the code and see how quickly it comes back I guess.

I'm sure you've thought of all this anyway Very Happy Geoff
