Is it possible to change the bolts to like an Allen key head so you will definately have to open the tailgate to remove them ?

Sorry to hear and sorry to say that there is a thread about this. It has been quite bad in the UK for a while and that is why there is a solution. Replacing the hex bolts with torx (security/tamperproof) will help. To make it even harder you could use a light or medium threadlock compound. Use the bolts with rounded head and no edge for pliers to grip onto as well !! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

theft of these rear lights has been mentioned a few times here already....you can slip a spanner in between the light and tailgate and undo the bolts quite easily...the only way to prevent this is to fit allen or hex bolts.. ... - .- -.

Nick, the bolts were certainly a factory fit job by the 2009 facelift sir... Meaning if you order bolts for a CA chassis no onwards you will be sure to get the correct ones sir |
