And I guess it not you on the last picture ........your not meant to go out the side door Rolling with laughter

Robert and Stan....why do dogs sleep like that? .......it is funny to watch them sleep mind....and do there silly little bark when dreaming (I guess that's what they're doing ) Laughing

Guys thanks for sharing loads of pictures, didn't expect so many brilliant ones Bow down Bow down Bow down Thumbs Up Thumbs Up keep them coming Thumbs Up

True what they say.....dogs ( or any other animal that is ) IS for life, I could not be without our dog, even if she has that moment of madness, worst yet was disappearing 2 fields away, me calling her for 2 and a bit hours not knowing exactly where she went, looking, searching everywhere before it got too dark. I finally gave up as it was dark and thinking shes now gone, lost or hurt,.... worried doesn't come close guys, not knowing what else to do I just went home hoping she found a safe place to sleep the night.
After about 10 minuits or so she appears at the door Shocked Very Happy Yes she wasn't very popular that night Evil or Very Mad , she just came in the house with those 'im sorry' looking eyes, walks to her bed ( I didn't say a word) and legs in the air....submission....and goes to b Censored y sleep ! And no she's not done that since! If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Hey Rosco, Great Danes are lovely as well. My wolfie had one as a friend and it was great to see them together. Unfortunately some of the (badly behaved/trained) smaller dogs would go for him and he never ever fought back. A good thing when you realize how strong those jaws are. The only time he "fought" was over a bone with our American Staff, that happened only once and since then they were fine together (well until the cursed ex got rid of the Staff, don't think I ever completely forgave her for that). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

We're considering getting a dog. Anyone can shed some light as to where to get a purebred labrador from? I was told to stay away from pets4homes etc. What is the 'right' way of getting one then?

Thanks.

Research through The Kennel Club and find an Assured Breeder. You will get a pup whose parents have been hip-scored and eye scored. Worth the cost and wait for the right dog. Current MY2020

Eugene, agree 100% about the Danes, loads of dogs have a go at her just because of her size. She usually doesnt react but occasionally has picked up the other dog and she throws them over the fence, these jaws are something but as they were bred to take down deer its not surprising. My current one is 8 next year so not got much time left however still runs around like a puppy Thumbs Up

alx, there are a number of good lab breeders around. We go for ones out of proven gun dogs as they seem to have a propensity for being trained and are very obedient Thumbs Up

These are my 3 girls, Rosie, Chloe & Kiera. I would move heaven and earth for them and even sell the wife and kids.....which I might have to do one day as the insurance renewal for Rosie (golden retriever) was over £3,000 and Chloe the White retriever was £1300, which I never renewed!

Having pets is a little like FF ownership...... It doesn't rain, it pours..... Came home yesterday to one of our Persians with blood on her cheek and an eye that looked a complete mess..... Rushed her up the vet to be told to take her immediately to the specialist eye surgeon which is about 40 miles away.... Apparently she has had a burst ulcer somewhere in the eye....
Anyway, they operated last night and I'm waiting for the call....
Worse thing is that because she's had an eye problem before.....insurance won't cover it...... Ouch... Regards
Mark
