Fake Tyres

I am usually of the mindset that if it seems too good to be true - it is.
However, I have picked up a new Pirelli 255 50 20 off eBay for £120 delivered and another just ordered from the same vendor - too good to be true? Geoff

As per a current topic over on Disco3 have you checked the date stamp? Sounds like a good price though Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver

There was a thread on here a couple of weeks ago - Pirelli Scorpians for £125 a corner (well, when ordering 4)

Like a couple of other members, I purchased a set - been absolutely fine and made July 2014 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

tyres do get nicked or delivered to the wrong place Whistle so they should be ok...also tyres get shipped abroad and then re-imported cheaper, something to do with vat and import charges. ... - .- -.

Check the date stamp carefully, in Nigeria (yes I KNOW) we had two tyre blowouts in a row on quite dangerous locations (Third Mainland Bridge being one of them). Then we checked all our car tyres and found out the dates were doctored and it was done quite well but if you looked really closely you could see it.

So it does happen but I would be surprised if it happens a lot in Europe. A lot of unscrupulous people/companies have no issue exporting dangerous/unsafe stuff to Africa where they can get it imported quite easily because of lack of proper oversight or plain corruption. Not right but a fact of life.

In other words, be carefull but it will probably be OK MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Tyres look to be two years old, so should be OK.
Advert no longer there but this is copy of what I got
