So that launcher is brilliant very pleased with it and highly recommend you all try it. If you are familiar with Bmw I drive it’s slick - almost make me want an I drive controller!

On a side note by jumping fuse 12 in the boot to an ignition live the oem reverse camera works as it should now.

You will need a little adapter

Further to this I only seem to get major interference with the heated seats on... any ideas? Current stable:

If you’re planning to add an aftermarket system into your car, need to be aware that the 5 meter cable which goes from the bm54 connection to the new screen, is very cheaply made and will effect the performance and sound of your new system.

Alternatively, if you want to keep the original system, but want to upgrade it to a modern look, there is now option to add apple carplay and android auto.

thank you for this detailed instructions, i am in the process of fitting a pioneer system i have the screen working but no sound , i was after re wiring just like you have done but im not 100% in knowledge of it. Is it just the twisted wires im cutting to rejoin to the the fitting ? and do i leave the other two connectors in the amp ?
