polish side vents

haven't found anything in the search so i'm asking:
any recommended polish products that you can use with hand for
the supercharged side vents to polish out scratches from carwash
on grey part on the vents?

AFAIK they have a very thin coat of paint on them, so too much polishing will break through, seen several with the paint polished off on the edges...

If it's bad, probably best to repaint them.. Pete

it's not bad, i got used original land rover ones on ebay (still searching for a grille, hard in austria :/ ).
as my car paint is really good for it's age i wan't them to fit to the rest of the car.
any advice on repaint them?

I picked up a sheet of Chrome vinyl wrap for a few dollars and covered the side vents, front grill and the strip across the top of the rear number plate and fog lamp surrounds All blinged up for next to nothing. Also put DRL`s on for total cost of $10 including the controller. [img][/img]

i jused scratchx gently and with care, worked for me.
need a second go when i polish the car.
