Diagnostics and Programming

I've been used to having a good degree of control over my old Discovery 2, through a Hawkeye diagnostic device. Part of the reason for buying one was that it could be upgraded to cover other vehicles, and so I duly added the L322 to it. Yes it can fault read and reset, but what I didn't realise was that there was no programming at all possible through the Hawkeye.

I don't want to sell up, as I still look after my parents D2, but I now find myself needing to do something to get control of my L322.

I've seen the IID tool is quite widely used here, but are there any others I should consider?

Alternatively is there anyone here who for beer money would be able to let me take a roam though my L322's brain and set a couple of preferences?

Many thanks

MW

You can actually get the official JLR system.

You'll need to buy the cable £450 for a genuine one (there are fakes but they often dont work)

Then you can subscribe to SDD Software via Topix, on annual, monthly daily hourly rates. It ain't cheap though!

There are ways around the software subscription, but you'll have to do your own research for that.

IID Tool is by far the best bit of kit to get. 'It does everything it says on the tin', to coin a phrase. Thumbs Up

Costwise, it's only about £370 odd for the BT IID Tool, so cheaper than the JLR plus Topix option. The IID Tool, though, is Vin locked to one vehicle, but you can get extra Vin Licences for about £60 per additional vehicle.

I've got one myself and I can vouch that it's a must have tool for any FFRR owner! Bow down Bow down

Thanks Rangeyman.

I have been known to travel a bit too! I guess the question is where about is he, and where does he travel, and what are the chances of the two of us crossing paths!
