It is a silly fiddly job! So many things to remove in order to get at it, plus the disconnection of all the pipes to all the corners.

At this stage of corrosion, I would strongly recommend checking the brake lines underneath the cover along the left hand sill ( thats where they are on a LHD vehicle)

Funny you should mention the brake lines. I inspected them last year and decided to invest in genuine new rear lines that run down the nearside. I have still yet to work out how to fit them. Especially the line for the offside rear as it is in one piece and unlikely to survive the process of threading it through and across the rear axle. 2014 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography & 2015 3.0SDV6 HSE Lux Discovery 4

This was not galvanised as far as I can tell, just painted black. The new one will get some extra treatment. 2014 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography & 2015 3.0SDV6 HSE Lux Discovery 4

The one piece pipes should go in OK if side steps are removed, tank cover, rear wheel and a reasonable clearance below. I put a joint in (protected by tank cover) to overcome this. Check wiki. .

I wouldn't be surprised if they rust from the inside out. I think there is a drier filter on the compressor but i doubt it keeps all the moisture out. |

Perhaps it's time to take a look at the drier as well. I will investigate. I seem to recall some good videos on this. 2014 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography & 2015 3.0SDV6 HSE Lux Discovery 4

Yep, dismantling the compressor is a warm, inside, kitchen table job, be prepared to catch all the little silica beads |

New air receiver fitted. Not too bad really. All the advice from the forum had lowered my expectations. New receiver from Dan fitted and painted with stone chip. Replaced all the nuts and bolts with new and kept the side step off so that I can treat the wheel arch rust.
