i'm not familiar with your model, but range rovers have some breather pipes fitted, to the axles and i think gearbox, and starter motor, they are black or white, and made of stiff nylon, and have a rounded end around 2 inches? to allow air to exit or enter when said items warm up, but (hopefully) not let in water when wading etc. Hence they hieght, and safe position,at rear etc. |

No they just vent to the air. On the Range Rover's they're raised right up, so that if you go and drive through a flood (wading) the water doesn't get into them. |

Sounds line the transfer box vent, mine wee'd a bit after playing up the woods! Had to follow it back down to see where it went, I extended mine upwards a tad so it drops back into box rather than drips on my rocker cover.. 2003 4.4 Adriatic Blue FF |
