Simply sprayed the caliper with brake fluid cleaner and agitated with a stiff brush, it evaporates quickly and leaves the area clean and dry!
Two coats of paint! Takes time to dry between coats, then apply graphics!

Did you consider a clear coat at all to protect the graphics? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Just read this article -

We used a company near Birmingham to do the Aston - their web site is:

http://www.shorade.co.uk/

I know they are brilliant they take them off and take apart the caliper - then power coat in Guardsman Red
job took 2 days as they bake the paint in oven for 8 hours and even applied graphics.

The chap to call is Steve Shore - MD

Mine are tatty and so Hammerite smooth for me but has anybody done there's in Black as I fancy that? Many thanks
