Brake Dust

Hi,

I've just got my car back after getting the wheels painted. (I knackered them with wonder wheels a few months ago)
Anyway, the wheels were brilliant when I picked the car up. Now, 10 miles later, they are covered in dust.
I had the car into JLR a few weeks ago. During this visit I had all four sets of pads replaced as I thought the brake performance was poor. After the service, the brakes were the same, crap.

When my car was away, I had a Toyota Fortuner for 3 days. After three days the wheels look the same as day one. Also, the brakes were really sharp.

What's wrong with my car.

PS - "buy a Fortuner is not an acceptable answer" Very Happy Very Happy

cheers

It might be the wheels them selves causing the problem. It doesn't matter who's brakes they are, they all make dust, only some wheels appear to blow the dust inwards instead of outwards Shocked Have you tried a good wax polish on your wheels? it wont stop the dust falling on them, but it will make it harder for it to stick Thumbs Up Plus if they do get really dusty a hose will normally wash off the dust Very Happy Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer...
